Our weekend was full of ups and downs and highs and lows, as always.  We did some Christmas crafting, some tree decorating, some knitting, some snuggling, a good bit of play in our first snow (a nice big dump), and topped it all off with a healthy dose of weekend movies and dessert.

Sometimes they seem so chaotic to me– Matt home, our regular routine gone askew, different projects throughout the house, errands and outings and visitors– but, when I open up to the changes they bring, weekends are my favorite days.  I like having a partner, being a family, having some time for my own projects, the noise and even the mess (just a little).  We all like being together and doing things together; I feel thankful to have a place where I belong, where I matter.
