Chef Ashton

Occasionally our Ashton gets inspired, in both her drawing and her tummy, to create recipes for us to make and eat.  Generally they require a bit of adjusting, but for the most part these adjustments are minimal and her recipes are very close to right on.  Recently she drew and dictated a recipe for a dessert pizza, with blueberries, cherries, chocolate chips, strawberry sauce, whipped cream, cream cheese, and cinnamon crust, with sprinkles and cherries on top.  Matt, who always perks up when we start talking dessert, dove in wholeheartedly.  The two shopped for the ingredients, made the crust (we admit that it was a boxed gluten-free pizza crust) and topped it with a fantastic cream cheesy danish type sauce, added strawberry sauce, chocolate chips, and berries, and indeed topped the whole thing with sprinkles and maraschino cherries.  It was amazing.  I have high hopes that one day this one will cook for me!
