this busy, beautiful life

Mar 24, 2016

I’m working on taking a photo a day, even though I seem to be often moving at a fast pace through my ever-growing list of things to handle, in order to document these precious times while we’re in the midst of them.  In light of that choice, I have a collection of photos to share here that document some parts of our goings-on during the past few months.

We have endured RAIN (the wettest winter in Seattle history, actually) and lots of time indoors in which the kids do homeschool, art, movie-making, playdates, reading, experiments (Cedar always has an experiment he is working on, such as his day of butter-making in a photo above), snuggling with Addie, an onslaught of sickness and colds, and getting outdoors when we can.  We also had a special girl’s 11th birthday this month.  Matt is working three jobs now (Navy Band, piano lessons, and Music Director at our UU church); when he’s home, he can be found working on our ever-present list of home fix-ups.  I’m working on helping him, managing kids, exercising at the YMCA, and the rest of the work that keeps us functioning well.  Spring is here now with crazy weather that changes daily, and sometimes by the minute.  More often this month we have had sun, and once we even got to break out the tank tops and fire pit!  We want to start venturing outdoors more now that the sun will be returning.  I hope to share more here in photos as we head outside to enjoy the beauty of this place.
