sea and sail

Oh, that calm blue water on the Florida Gulf Coast is something not easily forgotten.  It was a bit cold for swimming, but the brave did venture out for a bit.  I remember that when the kids and I went before, a bit later in spring, the water was warm and swimmable.  No matter the water temperature; the weather was balmy, the sun bright, the shells aplenty and the ocean amazing.  We went back to the beach at morning, midday, and sunset, and each time the ocean was magnificent.  Really, it was a weekend in paradise.

Not only did we get the ocean to enjoy, but we had the lucky chance to stay on a boat with some Jacksonville friends who recently moved to St. Petersburg.  The hot tub on board was thoroughly enjoyed, as was the gentle rocking as we lay to sleep, the good company, a happy Ashton and Cedar playing with friends, fresh breezes wafting through open boat windows, and beautiful sun and moon rises to enjoy.  So thankful.IMG_27287IMG_2769IMG_27522920140223_092732IMG_27516IMG_2761IMG_2767
