ravello girls trip

Mar 2, 2019

I took Ashton to the Amalfi Coast for an overnight girls getaway.  We talked, strolled, listened to the Rent soundtrack (her current obsession), watched a chick flick, and stayed in a seriously awesome apartment.

It is very common to find herds of sheep and goats in the roads all over the Naples area.  We often run into them on hiking trails, too!  The sheep are nice; the sheep dogs, not so much.

We visited the town of Ravello, up in the mountains overlooking the Amalfi Coast.  Ravello is known for its gardens, which we didn’t get to experience because it was February.  Boo!  The Amalfi Coast gets crazy busy with tourists during the summer months, so while we dreamed of flowers, we enjoyed the quiet roads and town.  We cannot wait to visit again in the spring when more flowers are in bloom– we are sure it is breathtaking!!

This was our apartment!  It was fantastic, with an epic view and a really good breakfast.

On our way home, we stopped in Maiori and Vietri, two towns along the coast.

Cedar and Matt stayed home and enjoyed homemade Ramen and dude flicks.
