Ashton and I have been out enjoying the outdoors lately in search of beauty, quiet and cool weather. For our first trip we took the camper to Abruzzo National Park, stayed at Lago di Montagna Spaccata, drove through the beautiful Abruzzo landscapes and stayed another night at a spot in the woods of the mountain valley of Rocca Pia.  For our next trip, we spent the day at the waterfalls and gorges of Forre di Lavello, with a lovely picnic lunch and an afternoon of  rock-hopping and creek-wading.  Our most recent trip started with a family trip to our favorite lake, a camper spot next to a river, and then onto Matese where we spent a day and a night at Lago Lettino and discoverd an international festival in the village. We had a lot of adventures on these trips and will certainly remember them forever.
