Matt and I escaped the heat (and the kids) for a weekend in Gran Sasso. The weather was cold enough for pants and shoes! We found a quiet spot near the top of the mountains and next to trails, learned that summer weekends in the park are crazy busy, ate a bunch of arrosticini, and hiked a lot. We love the camper, the mountains, and get-aways in the camper in the mountains. We love hiking and space to talk and read and think. It was so good.
