Matt’s mom left today on a plane back to Montana.  We had five days of being fully with her, and what a blessing it was.  We crafted, gamed, chatted, ate, adventured, and enjoyed lots of grandma-grandkid quality time.  Grandma snuggled with, read to, played with, made things with, and took lots of pictures of her grandchildren, and those kids soaked up every bit of her they could get.  I enjoyed the company, and that for the first time (after years of living close to and hanging out with her), we got to spend days just being together.  I am grateful to be part of my husband’s amazing family, and to be a daughter to this mother-in-law.

Because I want to remember and document and share our experience, because I want to soak it in for a little while longer, and because I took a bunch of photos, I am going to post several “with Grandma” posts over the next few days.
